The Maine coastline offers a thriving marine ecosystem, plenty of wildlife to admire, secluded islands and a scenic getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Our guides are all skilled kayakers that are eager to share their knowledge of the history and ecology of the area. Join one of our Registered Maine Guides and enjoy an informal educational tour while you get your first taste of kayaking or while improving your paddle skills.
Sheepscot River Tour:
This full day trip takes you through the islands of the Sheepscot River, exploring part of the Maine Island Trail. Among these islands we will find a perfect spot to spread out a picnic lunch and watch the gulls flying alongside the fishing boats out in the distance. From the Sheepscot we paddle back into Boothbay Harbor in time for an afternoon of shoreside relaxation.
Outer Island Tour:
We will launch our kayaks from the mainland and head out to the outermost islands of Booth Bay and have a chance to enter the harbor of Damariscove Island—a spot rich with history and magnificent views that have witnessed everything from Captain John Smith and Bluebeard to German U-Boats in WWII. This tour includes a picnic lunch and is subject to sea conditions.
